Another day, another year around the sun.
A friend asked me what I'm looking forward to in this new year of mine. Considering I don't like being put on the spot, I stalled a bit to gather my thoughts. The friend wasn't satisfied with this pause, nicely pointing out that it doesn't have to be anything too deep. I mentioned being in a genuine loving relationship would be cool. But honestly, I'm already thinking 10 years ahead to the grand ol' age of 50. Fifty. In ten years, I'll be FIFTY.
That's what I can't wrap my head around.
But in doing so, I'm overstepping my legit want of 2020 - to take it one day at a time. Focus on today and let it be as productive and enjoyable as possible.
So I'm focusing on today. My birthday.

The world is literally on fire: COVID-19 aka 'Rona Season is still alive and kicking and leaving in its path over a million deaths; The US election is less than 2 weeks away; Nigeria is literally killing its citizens all in the name of stopping #EndSARS peaceful protests. It's just three much.
With that being said, I am grateful to see another special day. I am so grateful. I thank God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It's been a wild 2020 so I'm thankful for the life I have right now.
