Luray Caverns

inside cave in virginia

While this visit was scheduled a few weeks ago, it came right on time because your girl needed a breather. A lot has been happening all in and around me. And sometimes a semi roadtrip to the largest caverns in the East Coast of the United States is needed. Even during Quarantine Season.

Here's my recap of Luray Caverns in Virginia.

Thanks to being influenced by someone's Instagram stories, I was able to discover a huge tourist attraction 2 hours away from my humble abode. And get this - I didn't even know it existed. I thought caves and shit were only seen on the West Coast. Color me surprised.

Ticket is $30 and was purchased on site because tickets never sell out. Due in part to 'Rona, of course masks were required during the self-guided walking tour which lasted about an hour. And let me tell you, that hour felt longer because this was a high-key leg workout. Lots of steep uphills and winding walkways. Me, with my mask and eyeglasses, kinda struggled. All of the walking mixed with a cooler environment made for my glasses to steam up pretty quickly. Quite annoying but not the end of the world.

I feel like the photos can show you a better outlook of my visit because, wow, it was impressive. Enjoy.
