As you may already know, I'm always down to check out a festival - or in this case, a fair. Over the weekend, I attended the Superfine! Art Fair at Union Market DC.

Superfine! is a the creation of partners and entrepreneurs, James Miille and Alex Mitow. Debuting in Miami Art Week 2015, the goal was to showcase an art fair that had no airs or pretentiousness. Approachability and transparency were the keys into making Superfine! the art fair that's for everyone to attend.

I was impressed with the mixture of local, national, and international artwork. As I walked around the space, I came away with the impression that Superfine! represents the eclectic, non-judgemental mind.
Each artist had their business cards and/or complimentary prints to hand out. And if you were in a spending money mood, the art was available for purchase with free packaging.

Since it opened on Halloween, I went to their Masquerade Vernissage, with live musical performances and a live art show. On Saturday, there was a breakfast reception, which I also attended. In between were social night events, film premieres, and panel discussions. It was a well thought out and packed art fair.
Superfine! will be in Miami for Art Basel in December. Gosh, I want to go to Art Basel so badly. Anywho, if you're in the city, check it out and let me know your thoughts!
