As much as I wanted to flop on my hotel queen sized bed after an afternoon of shopping, the excitement got the best of me. My stay was at the Gaylord National Resort and my room had the Atrium View with a balcony.
The Atrium honestly looks like a quaint village. It boggles my mind that this beautiful scenery is located smack dab on the lower level of the massive resort. The Atrium has restaurants, shops, and fun family events to enjoy this summer such as a Silent Disco, A National Hunting Ghost Tour, and Movie Under the Stars (the weekend's showing was Coco - a funny, beautiful film that I've already watched on Netflix but was thiclose to watching again from my balcony). Speaking of Netflix, it's one of the services offered as TV entertainment, however, I didn't watch any TV because, exhausted.
The next morning, we went to visit the Relache Spa (10 years going strong!) to try out their newly launched Express Bar. The services provided are 25 minutes or less and price vary from $15-$65. So if you're on a time crunch and need a quick hair blowout or a mini massage to relax, then it's best to try their Express Bar services.

I did the thumb massage, puffy eye removal, and brow tinting.
We also took a tour of the resort spa, which boasts to be one of the largest in the Capital Region. Relache Spa offers full 25-50-80 minute services for women, men, and children like massages, body treatments, and facials, couples massage room, sauna, steam room, and whirl pool. It's available for private events and after hours (for an additional fee, of course). My favorite room definitely was the Riverview Relaxation Lounge overlooking the Potomac River.
Ending my Shop & Stay weekend at Relache Spa was a nice touch. I left the Gaylord National Resort feeling relaxed and ready for the week ahead.
