Of late, I tend to buy some of my tops and dresses one size up for a looser fit. And, honestly, just to be safe. Because when online shopping is your bread and butter, it's best to be safe than sorry. However, there are times when maybe sticking to my original size would've been the better move.
Take for instance this pinstripe foldover blouse from Catherines. I was all like, okay, given the style and cut, going up a size would definitely work.
I immediately removed the black tank for a sexier touch. Then I tried it on. There's loose fit...and then, there's oversize fit. Clearly, I was wearing an oversized blouse. Oops. My bad and lesson learned. The blouse already has a loose fit so sizing up wasn't needed. It's still cute, though. To make it work, I pinned the bottom wrap portion with a brooch and tucked the pinned side into the faux leather leggings. I wore this look to the Inglot store opening in Tyson's Corner.
