I was approached by eShakti to choose an item to review from their massive collection. Plenty of dresses and skirts caught my eye but when the Illusion Cotton Poplin Dress appeared on screen, I knew that this was my dress. Because, sheer + mesh + sweetheart neckline.
eShakti sizing is true to size...if you're not afraid of the numbers. You see, I'm a 16W/18W but when I took a glance at their sizing chart I noticed that my measurements fell into the 3X/26W column. I was a bit hesitant at first but then it was like, what the heck. If that's where my measurements came up to be then so be it. I'm glad I went that route because the dress fits me to a T. No changes whatsoever.

eShakti is all about women having access to ready-to-wear fashion that's customized specifically to the women's preference - all at an affordable price. Hence why the site offers two sizing options: Standard Size and Custom Size. Standard Size is straight to the point with 3 steps: 1) select your size based off their Woman's Size Chart, 2) select your height, and 3) for an additional $7.50, select how you would like the sleeve type, dress length, and neckline. Some items offer Other Options which is usually free. For this particular item, there was an option for removing the pockets (The audacity! Who in the world would want to remove pockets from dresses and skirts? WHO?!! Reveal yourself!) Now, with the Custom Size, there are also 3 easy steps to follow: 1) Enter your size measurements - shoulder, chest, bust, etc., 2) select your height, and 3) similar to Standard Size, select from options like adjusting sleeve type, dress length, neckline, etc., at the price of $7.50. The nice thing about the Custom Size option is that eShakti can save your measurements for when next time you order. All you have to do is submit your e-mail address.
As of right now, eShakti only delivers to the U.S. and Canada. The shipping charges are based on the order value. It take up to 14 business days (18 calendar days) from the date of the order to deliver.
This dress is such a winner and I can't wait to wear it again and again. Maybe with a blazer? A leather jacket? A leather vest, perhaps? Just wait and see. *smiles*
