I really can't give a well thought-out recap of the 2013 Grammy Awards. I missed pretty much all of the Red Carpet save for a few folks.
As for the televised awards show itself, I didn't get to watch a bunch of performances. Based off the performances I did watch, my favorite of the night was the Levon Helm tribute ft. Elton John, Zac Brown, T-Bone Burnett, Mumford & Sons, Mavis Staples and Brittany Howard, lead singer of Alabama Shakes. I also enjoyed performances by fun., Miguel/Wiz Khalifa, Justin Timberlake and Kelly Clarkson. Considering that I've seen him perform live in DC last year and I also enjoyed his performance on SNL, I was kinda hoping and praying Frank Ocean would knock it out the park on the Grammy stage. *pregnant pause* *crickets* Well, um, that did not happen. It was not good. At all. Even his whistling was slight. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up as nerves. Yeah, that's it. Nerves. :o/
