Went to see Kevin Hart's Let Me Explain stand-up comedy at the Verizon Center. Man, the dude is effin' hilarious.
I wish there was some other way to describe him but nope...he's hilarious. He mainly focused on his divorce - Why it came about (he cheated), who he blamed for the divorce (his best friend...LOL!) and how he tried to add some 'spice' into an impending marriage (by making him and his wife take an ecstasy pill....DONE!). Also one of my favorite jokes of the night was also the most random: how the worst thing that can ever happen to you is getting 'bum-flicked'. "What is bum-flicked?", you ask. Well, it's when a bum flicks his fingers on your lips. A bum asks you a question, you lean close to hear him then outta nowhere, the bum flicks you on the lips with their fingers. I mean...who thinks of this random stuff?!!! Even when Kevin was telling the audience this situation, he was rolling; he couldn't control his laughter! Also, the opening acts were good, too. I believed each had a longer set than Kevin's. So, that would've been the only slight to what was a great show - Kevin Hart's set not being long enough.
Anywho, I can't wait until this comes out on DVD. I will watch it again and again.
What I wore:
I went for a bit of colorful pattern mixing. I apologize for the jacket covering most of the outfit. It was only when I was gathering up photos for this post that I realized you couldn't really see the pattern mixing effect. But, hopefully, you can get the idea of what I was trying to accomplish.
