A group of us decided to take a day trip to Philly for Jay-Z's Made in America Festival. The Saturday line-up included Janelle Monae, Mike Snow, Maybach Music Group (MMG), Passion Pit (who I am now diggin'), D'Angelo, Dirty Projectors (who I am also now diggin'), etc. The closer of the night was the man himself, Sean "Jay-Z" Carter. And boy did he bring his friends along to make the crowd go beserk. Memphis Bleek. Freeway. Swizz Beatz. A Beyonce sighting. And, finally, G.O.O.D. Music - Kanye West, Pusha-T, Big Sean, 2 Chainz and Common. I was in absolute heaven dancing my ass off, screaming my ass off, jumping up and down like a kid on crack. It was exhilarating. It was the perfect night. I didn't attend the second day but my sister did and she reported back to me that it was pretty good, too. Not as good as Day 1 but still good.
Being there makes me want to attend other festivals like Coachella and Lollapoolza in the future. It has to be done.
